The New Face of Advertising – VML
The newly formed entity will be christened as VML and is set to employ a staggering 30,000 individuals across 64 global markets. These agencies, which were established in 2018, have an impressive clientele list that boasts names like Colgate-Palmolive, Dell, Ford, Microsoft, and Coca-Cola.
WPP’s Restructuring Journey
London’s WPP has been on a restructuring spree, with previous notable mergers including the union of the world’s oldest ad agency, J Walter Thompson, with the digital network Wunderman. This is all part of WPP’s vision to enhance efficiencies and provide a comprehensive suite of services to its clients.
Leadership at the Helm
The leadership of VML will see VMLY&R’s Jon Cook taking the reins as the global chief executive, while Wunderman Thompson’s Mel Edwards will serve as the global president.
